SMALL GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

With the start of Fall, FPC is revving up several small groups:

  • The Men's Bible Study meets via Zoom at 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday starting Sept. 23 to study the messages for us in the books of the Old Testament.  Each week's discussion is initiated by a short explanatory video from The Bible Project (bibleproject.com/explore/). To join, email leerozen@gmail.com for weekly updates and the Zoom address.
  • The Women’s Bible Project started this week and will continue to meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m.  Group members will need to view the Bible Project video (bibleproject.com/explore/) each week prior to the group meeting.  This week we will be discussing the video on Philippians.  Kathy Pitman is the facilitator, email  kbpitman@roadrunner.com for weekly updates and the Zoom address.
  • The Anti-racism Learning Circle meets Thursdays 7:00-9:00 pm (via ZOOM).  We are discussing the book White Supremacy and Me by Layla Saad, and other resources, in order to better understand and practice anti-racism.  If you would like to join the reading group, our Facebook community page, or simply learn more, contact Delaney at delaneypiper19@gmail.com.
  • A five-week Bible Study led by Janice Capel Anderson via Zoom will begin the week of September 27th.  The title of the study is “The Things That Make for Peace: Adult Bible Study.”  You can download both leader and participant resources for free at https://www.presbyterianmission.org/resource/season-peace-bible-study-full/  You can see the Scriptures and themes for each session there.  As the website notes, “It focuses on the inner and outer path to peace as foundational to faithful discipleship. Each session has a “dig deeper” section for study through the week.” If you would like to participate, please contact Janice and let her know what days and times work best for you at janicecandersonidaho@gmail.com
