SMALL GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
With the start of Fall, FPC is revving up several small groups:
- The Men's Bible Study meets via Zoom at 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday starting Sept. 23 to study the messages for us in the books of the Old Testament. Each week's discussion is initiated by a short explanatory video from The Bible Project (bibleproject.com/explore/). To join, email firstname.lastname@example.org for weekly updates and the Zoom address.
- The Women’s Bible Project started this week and will continue to meet on Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Group members will need to view the Bible Project video (bibleproject.com/explore/) each week prior to the group meeting. This week we will be discussing the video on Philippians. Kathy Pitman is the facilitator, email email@example.com for weekly updates and the Zoom address.
- The Anti-racism Learning Circle meets Thursdays 7:00-9:00 pm every other week (via ZOOM). Beginning February 25, we will be discussing the book The Cross and the Lynching Tree by Dr. James Cone. All are welcome to participate. If you would like to join the reading group, or for more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org
- Janice Capel Anderson will lead a Lenten Bible Study on each week's lectionary readings (the bible readings for each Sunday). We will use Roger Gench's Looking into the Lectionary, which is available online and via email. Starting date and time are still to be decided. Please contact Janice for more information, or to let her know what days and times work best for you at email@example.com.
