Community Book Discussion
The First Presbyterian Church of Moscow, as a continuation of our anti-racism learning circle, is hosting a Lenten (and beyond) discussion of the book The Cross and the Lynching Tree by Dr. James Cone. We will start our Zoom meetings on Thursday Feb. 25, meeting every other week from 7:00-8:30 pm. Please email for more information or if you would like to join us, email@example.com
Portions of our discussion are based on this Lenten study guide.
The book can be ordered through BookPeople of Moscow (3-day turn-around time), or on Amazon as an audio, e-book, hard cover or paperback book. The book is a #1 seller in Christian liberation theology.
May we all grow in love, justice and mercy.
Lenten Bible Study
We have an opportunity to respond to Pastor Norman's invitation to listen to Jesus during this Lenten season. Janice Capel Anderson will lead a Lenten Bible Study on each week's lectionary readings (the bible readings for each Sunday). We will use Roger Gench's Looking into the Lectionary, which is available online and via email. Starting date and time are still to be decided. If you are interested, please email the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday Worship at 10:30 a.m.
Service will be streamed online:
In-person attendance at worship will resume March 7. All who attend should make a reservation and will be expected to abide by the guidelines as stated here.
